It's always great when some good action moves through VT b/c there is so much land to get some great photo opportunities.  I especially love the last picture of the side shot...especially b/c you can see the rain shaft just behind the shelf

I see a pink pixel now. Has the super-res radar always updated every two minutes? It's almost too often... I can't look away.

There's a svr wx scanning strategy now that updates the low level scan every 2 min or so. It's quite handy for tornadoes and such.

The solution advertised on the 06z NAM would be marginally supportive for low-end severe. The GFS was more lackluster with awfully meager shear/wind fields.
