New tornado warning for rotation embedded in a squall line just west of Jacksonville, TX. It looks like it will be very near River Run ATV park, where there could still be a bunch of people (although many have probably already left since the holiday is about over).

Ola storm heading for some bigger population centers need it to drift east a bit faster

Not really anywhere it can go along the I-40 corridor there, getting close to too late to miss Atkins to the east. Russellville obviously the biggest target, but that whole stretch is populated.

Damage pics from the Mexican tornado on Reed Timmers twitter.....pretty bad

Hard to tell, but it doesn't look like those homes are constructed primarily of wood. If those homes were constructed of wood, like most in the US, I can't imagine the damage pictures we'd be seeing out of Mexico.

Flying/tumbling cars seem to be damage force multipliers with most residential dwellings here in the US.

I can't recall many buildings withstanding the force of a flying car/truck here in the US without major structural damage.

In this photo, at least, the structure remains seemingly uncompromising.

Amazing.

Yeah anything west of Pottsville is gonna be bad news, and if I had to guess it sure looks to stay west of Pottsville at least for now.....if it went more Dardanelle/Russellville then it could be the worst hit of the year so far.....

Deadly tornadoes in Mexico are actually very rare. Just from looking at Wikipedia I could only find one other tornado (in 1899) that cause more than 10 fatalities in Mexico. The 2007 Piedras Negras-Eagle Pass tornado caused 10 fatalities total (mostly in Eagle Pass, TX)
