The next few days continue the period of active weather.  Have at it.  Tornado watch currently issued for most of Arkansas with some intense tornadoes expected.  Tor warnings for rotation already issued. Watch forthcoming for much of central MO.

Nothing from the SPC has said "intense tornadoes" today. There is a threat but no "intense tornadoes" expected IMHO

The watch statement for the Arkansas watch included the potential of a couple intense tornadoes

Appears a brief tornado touched down near Lowry City/Osceola, MO. earlier today. NWS Springfield requested pics from the area and it looks like some barns and trees were destroyed, so they are sending a survey team and made mention that it was probably a tornado. It's very strange for this area to get brief spin-up tornadoes that you see with tropical-type systems like this. Our 'usual' mode is QLCS with spin-ups or supercells, so it's very strange to see what looks like a moderate shower on radar tornado warned.

Storm report on it says wedge tornado, but who knows. Seem to recall claims of night time 'wedge' tornadoes in Rio Vista a few weeks back and they were rated EF-0...

Uh, look at the photos please.

I did, and edited my post.

There's no need for this type of communication by the way. Civility would be much appreciated.

You were just doubting the storms intensity 10 minutes ago.

Yeah because the radar signature didn't match what was supposedly happening at that time.
