rolltide_130
SRH has really ramped up in the area of these tornadic cells wrt what it was just a few hours earlier. Odd for sure. Bit surprised SPC hasn't upgraded to a tornado watch. Another cell to the west could cause problems as well.

Yup, pretty substantial increases per mesoanalysis. Still waiting on FWD's 00Z sounding.

1900hurricane
The beam is fairly high out there, but those velocities on the incoming bow are pretty gnarly.

1900hurricane
Discrete storms appear to be generally becoming sloppier for the time being. There might be something wanting to spin up on the bow though.

Chinook
So it's not just outflow dominant in that line? I guess the NWS thinks this might be a rain-wrapped tornado near Jacksboro. Tornado warning

Stebo
What a disgrace: https://twitter.com/reedtimmerTVN/status/596484899588034560 He is totally embarrassing at this point. Honestly if he is calling that in as a wedge to the weather service, I would seriously consider not taking his reports. All he is doing there is creating a problem with these incorrect reports. Chinook
What a disgrace, this is absolutely embarrassing: https://twitter.com/reedtimmerTVN/status/596484899588034560 So you think this is much less than 1 mile wide? and Reed Timmer went out of his way to scare people in Denton? andyhb
So you think this is much less than 1 mile wide? and Reed Timmer went out of his way to scare people in Denton? Um, that is not a mile wide wedge, by any acid-tripping, cocaine sniffing stretch of the imagination.
Chinook
Yeah, definitely not the mile-wide EF4-EF5 type visual appearance.

BuffaloWeather
Reed is known for being "somewhat sensationalist", to put it mildly. He has a PHD too. He needs to be careful and cautious on what he is reporting to remain a respectful member of the meteorology society. A side question...Why don't storm chasers use night vision cameras to get a better view of possible night tornadoes? Are they to expensive? It would be incredible to get a solid view of a night tornado. It would also aid in the possibility of saving lives.
Stebo
So you think this is much less than 1 mile wide? and Reed Timmer went out of his way to scare people in Denton? Mile wide wedge tornadoes are much more dangerous than weak loosely organized tornadoes like that. It is a falsified report and can create panic if NWS ups a warning per a report like that. NWS FWD reported a large wedge tornado on Twitter heading towards Valley View, TX. My guess is that it was because of his report.
