The 5/24/11 event had some veer-back-veer concerns as well, though they were more subtle than this event if I recall correctly.  Things got pretty messy in N OK/S KS on that day.

I was just thinking about 5/24/11 earlier and how it compares to this one. I re-read that topic and generally it was a setup without any shortcomings except VBV. Did that issue effect how long the significant tornadoes stayed on the ground that were occurring in central OK?

Yesterday kind of already did to a degree, at least in terms of a legit, prolific Plains day. Bigger things ahead though.

Two things I disliked about yesterday that I don't want to see coming up: HP/rainwrapped supercells with tornadoes and only 1 long lasting tornado (don't care for those up and down spinups). I forget what parameter foreshadows whether supercells that form are mainly HP or LP, and how far out that can be known.
