tornadotony
That's not debris in the Mitchell storm right now. That's a sharp gradient in SNR in the radar returns.
downeastnc
If Mitchell didn't get hit then there is a good bit of open country to the north and very little for tornados to damage.....
geddyweather
Circulation went right over Mitchell. Haven't heard of anything on the ground. The couplet was not as strong as the last 2-3 scans, though...

Quincy
1500-2000 J/kg SBCAPE and 50 knots of bulk shear via mesoanalysis near the IA/NE border. Thinking the greatest tornado potential will develop near the state line and advance into far northwestern Iowa. Convective junk and displacement from warm front/triple point to the south should result in less of a threat for the Omaha area into southern IA. Still non-zero though. Indystorm
Also in the DFW area, rotation is growing on the cell south of Weatherford, TX. Noticed that too on NWS velocity but did not know if it was genuine.

Yeah mentioned this cell a couple of scans ago, it has good looking structure and rotation is ramping up. Would hate to see Gunter, Howe, or Dorchester take a hit.
