Why haven't they become more classical supercells yet? The net trend to me seems to be from classical to HP.

 

I've tried to be patient, but this day just isn't really evolving much differently from what I expected (in terms of few or no visible tornadoes, other than in CO, and no long-lived events).

You've tried to be patient? One dead, one critical near Cisco per FD. Just stop now....

Gonna head well south of Fort Worth, though.

 

Not necessarily, the H7 flow backs with eastward extent and the LLJ will ramp up. Storm motions could very well transition more ENE-NE with time. That said with all the backbuilding and slow crawling the supercells might not even be close for another couple of hours.

MIDSCAR stream is battling with some idiotic driver with road rage. They are cutting him off as he tries to pass and slamming on their brakes in front of them.

 

Edit: Looks like they got around and are now closing in on the storm.
