Geos
This paper suggests that the Wabash Valley Seismic Zone is an extension of the NMSZ. One of the legs to the rifting that started through the Heartland eons ago. http://www.nsf-margins.org/RIE/2010/white_papers/Kontar_etal.pdf
L.B. LaForce
Sorry, late to the party here I felt it here in Battle Creek pretty darn good. Was making lunch and thought we had a big wind gust which can make the rafters in the roof creak a bit. It lasted too long though, so I thought it had to be an earthquake. Come to find out, 4.2 is pretty big for MI. It definitely had things shaking on the walls that's for sure.
