Clouds and some precip last night kept temps really warm, as 69F was the low at home, though MVL looks like it only got to 71F. 

 

I was surprised to find 0.28" in the rain gauge this morning...the first rainfall over a tenth of an inch in quite a while.

 

It looks like north of here though there was a band of heavier rain across NNY and NVT...some amounts over 1".

Amazing lightning on that cell over squam lake.  It's all confined to a small area and the flashes outline the shape of the anvil.  Also-  there are lots of tiny "sparks" way up at the very top.  Looks like touching a doorknob in the dark and getting a static shock.  Never seen anything like it before.
