Stebo
Most of DTX now too (outside of the UHI)... The worst Just saw that...all counties but Wayne and Monroe. There is some hope that we can retain at least partial cloud cover tonight in the far southeast part of the state, that said this cold is putrid and I hope we don't go much past 40. Monroe is a lot of rural area...they can easily be colder than much of Oakland or Washtenaw. Plenty areas of way county are semi-rural too. Ive never understood why they always exclude wayne county in frost advisories.

Monroe might be because of Lake Erie already nearing 60 degrees also being furthest southeast.

weatherbo
looks like the s lakes and near shore waters are warming nicely, but per usual, L Superior is still frigid. Down on the shores, it feels like Dec. I'd like to see a nice warming of Superior to avoid a freeze up next year.

daddylonglegs
Rain hasn't moved in here yet. Saw and interesting thing at the boat landing this morning. About 30 humvees and other big military vehicles along with boats...yes...army boats going out on the Black River...have never seen that before. I really hope they have depth finders or someone knows what they are doing or they'll end up beached or in a rock pile. MSP says next week is going to see days in the 50Fs...yummy! michsnowfreak
saw light frost on the rooftops this morning but not the grass. Official low was 39F at DTW but 37F at DET (again wtf with DET colder on a radiational cooling night, deurbanization or not around DET, is still more rural near DTW). Per Wunderground thermometer, Wyandotte got to 37.5F
daddylonglegs
12Z GFS...brings the chill Monday and hangs high pressure across the plains and lakes until at least the following Sat/Sun... just days and days of cool dry air...chilly nights.

Chitown Storm
Thank goodness for the rain before the chill next week. Burning restrictions should be lifted. Fires in the backyard pit are on tap. I'll just pretend it's November instead of mid May.
Geos
Made it to 57° today. Filtered sun was the rule until mid afternoon before the rain moved in. Rain has stayed pretty light. Green up still ongoing in this local forest. Interesting clouds right before the rain started.

hawkeye_wx
Really wasn't a bad day, with only sprinkles through mid afternoon. The system was a little drier than expected, with less wind. A better evening surge of rain boosted my total to 0.28".
Chicago Storm
Headed up to Pikes Peak today. Only made it up to about 13,000', as things were closed from there on up to the summit at 14,115', due to recent sig snows.
