IsentropicLift
Hopefully it is over my area. We have not seen more than a 1/4 inch of rain the past 40 days. Just cleaned my weather station and put up a new rain guage. It's on! The 18z GFS is 2"+ state wide. Rain through Tuesday night.
LongBeachSurfFreak
I think this is the type of situation where somewhere in jersey sees 5" and east of the queens line sees almost nothing. I hope I'm wrong i HATE drought

SACRUS
We just need to keep Sunday drier for NYC to have a very impressive near warmest and driest May combo which is a rarity for any month of the year. Not too many +5 or greater months in the warm season with under an inch of rainfall. NYC is currently at the second warmest May and third driest. 67.9....+5.9.....0.40 Up to 68.
Morris
Up to 68.4 Seems crazy to have a close to a record month without breaking a single daily record.
Juliancolton
Seems crazy to have a close to a record month without breaking a single daily record.Essentially the same theme as February. No earth-shattering dates, but persistent double-digit departures. Interestingly, IIRC, February was immediately followed by much warmer days, and similarly the first days of June will be BN. Good timing all around.

Brian5671
Seems crazy to have a close to a record month without breaking a single daily record. Happened here at BDR in July 2013. We even had a record low maxima that month! Nighttime lows staying warm is what did the trick
SACRUS
Sun allowing for warmer temps and solidifying warmest Mays for many locals from DC - NYC and fueling storms for later. Suspect we get Mays rainfall in 48 hour period (as is the norm after a 'dry' period).
