We just need to keep Sunday drier for NYC to have a very impressive near warmest

and  driest May combo which is a rarity for any month of the year. Not too many

+5 or greater months in the warm season with under an inch of rainfall.

NYC is currently at the second warmest May and third driest.

67.9....+5.9.....0.40

Up to 68.4

Seems crazy to have a close to a record month without breaking a single daily record.

Essentially the same theme as February. No earth-shattering dates, but persistent double-digit departures. Interestingly, IIRC, February was immediately followed by much warmer days, and similarly the first days of June will be BN. Good timing all around.

March was still below average.

Sun allowing for warmer temps and solidifying warmest Mays for many locals from DC - NYC and fueling storms for later.  Suspect we get Mays rainfall in 48 hour period (as is the norm after a 'dry' period).

Hottest of the year at Casa Tony now upto 91 in Monroe, NJ.  Avoiding storms so far.  9 of 9 weekends with 90% great days.

First 90F here. Impressive difference b/t inland and shore recently. Was at Sea Bright earlier this afternoon -- low-mid 60s with a chilly wind and fog bank hovering near the beach.

91 still going up up up..hottest day of the year...very unexpected

Models started delaying the front on Thursday and it was becoming more clear sunday would be warm ahead of the storms especially south if NNJ and inland. Next shot at 90 is sat 6/6.

'93 was very warm and dry 65.6 (1.56).  And if werent for the .90 on May 31st the month would have had similar rainfall as this year.  Enso a bit off but building nino none the less.

93 ended in similar fashion..
