forkyfork
The 12z EPS mean doesn't rebuild the ridge. At least not through day 12. It shows mostly a zonal flow.what? this is a no brainer warmer than average pattern

bluewave
Another great Ambrose Jet day gusting to 40 mph at JFK. These are the days that you go down to the South Shore and still have sand in your mouth two days later.

SnoSki14
Picked up 0.19" here...1.33" for the month. It was a couple tenths here with a couple 5 minute downpours. It was just enough to wash some of that crap off the car and wet the lawns. It's not much however and will quickly dry out by tomorrow.

winterwx21
I picked up a total of 0.34" here from a brief but extremely heavy downpour, and then a brief moderate downpour. It's funny how a third of an inch of rain seems like a lot, after how dry it has been. We need a lot more, but at least it was enough to give the lawns and gardens here a decent and desperately needed watering.

bluewave
So the third coldest February on record gets answered on short order by what is already the third warmest May and climbing. The last really major temperature reversal from cold to warm was the third coldest December of 1989 and the second warmest January 1990. But that was more dramatic since the warmth came the very next month. Updated through 5/26 NYC climbing the list. SACRUS
You think it'll get to second place? Will get there today or tomorrow but we need to see how Saturday and Sunday turn out. Sunday looks cloudy and Stormy and highs could only hit the low 70s. Luckily th cooler looking monday is in June for those rooting on the warmest may on record. Animal
Good day all, When is all the rain that euro & canadian were showing going to arrive. I was reviewing post in this thread going back 4-8 days and these models were busting out big time totals it was reported. Maybe around 0.20 inches of rain the past 30-45 days in my area. Hopefully this weekend is rain free. Really enjoying this dry period. Best

Even yesterday, models showed widespread 1-2 inches for many locales just 48 hours out only to verify with .50 in a couple lucky spots and much less or zero in most of the subforum. Dry begets dry. By 6/4 the ridge is rebuilding with more warmth beyond there into the second week of June.
