Chinook
The storm is dropping 6" of rain locally, according to radar estimates. Stephenville KSEP had over 2" in the rain gauge today, with hail reported. Hail normally contaminates the rain estimation, but it's not always obvious how much the hail contributes. BlizzardWx
Stephenville KSEP had over 2" in the rain gauge today, with hail reported. Hail normally contaminates the rain estimation, but it's not always obvious how much the hail contributes. Not a lot of rain gauges in the area that has been hit hardest. Highest I saw when I looked just now was 2.5" on the official gauges.

Buckeye05
Southern circulation is all wrapped up again. Subtle but likely couplet between Grandview and Covington as well. Really a unique storm.

Msalgado
Just got home from a chase that lasted from about 2:30 until almost 8:30. Was on the cell that started near rising star and saw a spin up on that storm, then when it died promptly got on the cell that dropped a tornado near Stephenvile. I have video and pictures of what I believe was the tornado on that one, but its not totally clear. That was one of the most amazing supercells I've seen. It was flat out gorgeous. Now I'm home and watching all hell breakout south of Fort Worth. Stay safe everyone.

hurricaneman
In all intents and purposes this is one huge butt supercell, one of the largest I've ever seen in terms of coverage and even seems to be forming a meso low

cgidd8
I have never seen anything like this. I would love for someone to explain how that area of rotation is able to remain stationary with that sort of intensity.

1900hurricane
The "RFD" (if you can call it that) is really coming around now. Looks like it is transforming very quickly into a derecho-looking bow echo with the center of rotation of the supercell mesocyclone cluster thing becoming one big bookend vortex. Msalgado
This is the best picture I have what I believe to be the Stephenville tornado. We were pretty far away (10+ miles from Stephenville) so this is very much cropped. We did see it come together although after a bit it was obscured partially by the rain I managed to get shaky and not so great video of what looked like vorticies rotating around a central point. But once again, we were pretty far. http://imgur.com/X4vv6Et
