Jim Marusak
given the progress of the cell approaching comanche, how long until SPC is forced to put up the watches for the i-35 corridor between the OK border and at least Waco?
cstrunk
I think it's rain-wrapped. Looks like a cone may be shrouded on the Minuteman stream. There's been many reports of ground circulation, not fully condensed funnels that I've seen. It's been rain-wrapped, minuteman stream has a great view of a large bowl in the rain. 1900hurricane
Sitting in Hico waiting on that cell to move east. I don't have cell service any further west, and I'm not exactly confident in being on that cell without it. Might shift a little south of town. Disc
To add to the fun, I think KDYX is down. Level II is down for now it appears, but that could be due to high traffic. Level III data is loading just fine.

Chinook
I've got the 2056z scans on L2 and L3 for KDYX radar. Jim Marusak-- good point, I think the storms are about to track into a non-watch area. They will have to issue a tornado watch including DFW.

BuffaloWeather
What's preventing these storms from going down? I saw it said in the warning that there was a Confirmed Tornado, but have yet to see any visuals yet.

SmokeEater
There's been spotters reporting tornadoes, just not on streams. Data may be sketchy down there too.
jpeters3
What's preventing these storms from going down? I saw it said in the warning that there was a Confirmed Tornado, but have yet to see any visuals yet. I suspect the RFD is a bit cooler than optimal. There is a pretty well-defined OFB that trails this storm, and supercells that produce well defined cold pools don't usually seem to be prolific tornado producers (again, due to the RFD/cold pool being too cool). Also, 0-1 km SRH isn't particularly high. Edit: the storm also appears to be moving just east of the region of highest effective SRH.
thewxmann
What's preventing these storms from going down? I saw it said in the warning that there was a Confirmed Tornado, but have yet to see any visuals yet. Low-level winds aren't particularly strong right now (only ~20 kt at 850mb). These storms are leaning towards being slightly outflow-dominant.
Roy
Prayers for Dublin may be needed shortly if the reports are valid, and despite nothing visible, we probably shouldn't doubt them. But, no damage reports yet, so who knows.
SouthernNJ
The cycle may be about finished on the storm as it nears Dublin, circulation getting condensed once again.
