The EF-scale is a good way to rate the DAMAGE produced by tornadoes - not how strong the tornadoes became themselves over open fields. Make no mistake that there would have been damage higher than EF-0 had some of the Johnson county tornadoes moved into a heavily populated area. I mean the RFD itself would produce significant damage.

What happened to the reported tornado near Cross Plains, between about 2:40 and 2:50 p.m. on the 26th? The NWS and local PD reported the tornado, but I never saw anything in the final storm summaries. Maybe there just wasn't any damage.

I caught a glimpse of a funnel cloud dropping down, but wasn't in an area to get a clear picture of it actually touching down.
