CT Valley Snowman
I don't see any indication that the rainfall is going to miss us later Friday night and Saturday morning to the south. Widespread .10-.25. We rain.

CT Valley Snowman
I don't understand the whole argument about the rain missing us to the south when there is a high pressure system off the Mid Atlantic coast, that is a pretty strong warm front with some pretty impressive moisture and PWATS trying to advect into the region. things will definitely get squashed to the southwest once the Maritime high pressure system and the back door front start building down

Damage In Tolland
Let's put it this way.. I wouldn't be putting any fertilizer down thinking that significant rain was coming to wash it in. Why anyone would lean wet or soaker in this pattern is a bit odd to me
CoastalWx
Who said soaker?

Why anyone would lean wet or soaker in this pattern is a bit odd to me because the pattern is changing, get on the bus before it leaves the station. In the meanwhile enjoy what is surely a day of picture taking photo ops for all businesses to put in their brochures, visibility in the hundreds of miles, crisp cool clean polar air. Purrrrfect. CT Valley Snowman
well most of the modeling is trying to indicate some type of dip in the jet or trough over New England. Hopefully any Southern stream energy or coastal lows stay offshore and its pleasant.

CT Rain
Quite a bit of elevated instability on Saturday per the NAM. With those shortwaves rotating through that could easily turn out to be a bit of a soaker in some areas.

A toasty pattern flip for the Northeast this May. May 1-13 were all AN (compared to my own averages) by at least 2F. Given this morning's upper 20s and a 5/14 avg of 51.4, the streak ends today.
