apm
There seems to be a bit of a disconnect going on at the moment; Sandra has deviated to the right (more in line with the upper flow) and has actually intensified a bit over the last few hours despite predictions of its imminent demise. No doubt it'll weaken, but it may make it to the coast as a stronger storm than anticipated. http://www.weathertap.com/satellite/area/SAT_BPAC_IR4ENH_ANI

Maybe staying a major 'cane through much of the night.

wxmx
One of the worst model performances of the season...the Euro has been awful. It has kept stacked, which allowed to be steered by the upper level flow into an area in which shear, although high is not as destructive as further north, and SSTs are higher, which has allowed to keep better stacked...rinse and repeat. wxmx
Btw, Sandra may come in as a hurricane if it doesn't decouple.

Lol, yeah. The Euro bombed on this. It seemed like it never grasped this system-- never even initialized it very well. Btw, Sandra may come in as a hurricane if it doesn't decouple. C'mon. wxmx
It is decoupling now, so my above comment doesn't apply anymore.
HurricaneJosh
It is decoupling now, so my above comment doesn't apply anymore. Yeah, it looks like sh*t. I had a moment of fear yesterday, when it got hawt again-- that I might miss a 'cane on my prime chase turf. Thankfully it's falling apart now. HurricaneJosh
Wow, it looks like total crap now! So, does it get downgraded to TS with the intermediate advisory, or not until the 8 pm MST?

Amped
Looks like it caught a bad case of eastern pacific rapid dissipation syndrome. It was still an impressive storm for this late in the season.
