CoastalWx
I'd love to see this over perform. Radar is rather showery looking. I'd like to see a more congealed precip shield.

Randy4Confluence
Radar doesn't match reality here as it seems that the precip should be heavier (virga?). We've have a few parachutes flying around, some of them large, and with lots of wind, but just can't seem to get this thing going here. Maybe the air needs to saturate... too dry. I think what will happen is that we'll see this batch move out with lighter echoes hanging around with cold flow in the lower levels below 900 moving in and weak WAA aloft. Then as second s/w moves in from NY State, I can envision echoes developing and moving in from the W or even WNW after like 6-8pm or so. All models sort of show this, but a question of where this occurs, is it down south of I-90 or closer to the border of NH?

ORH_wxman
Our chance for heavier precip is definitely more around 00z-03z...so that is the period to watch this evening. Whether it ends up over S NH or makes it down to the pike is the question as Scott said

CoastalWx
The ptype right now is not surprising...this is a cold airmass just off the surface. Very cold for this time of year.
CoastalWx
The fact Blue hill is 3F colder tells me all I need to know. It's a quick temp drop as you move up in elevation. Some of the models have low level CAPE..that's how cold it will be at 900mb.

Randy4Confluence
Definitely picking up now in rates/intensity. Just went outside and man o' man is it cold! As the intensity has picked up, seeing more snowflakes mixed with sleet. Just frigid out there though with that wind!
