CoastalWx
Thunder snow for Ray? Well not sure about that as it was minimal, but with such a strong warm tongue, it could have some heavier bursts. However, it's also the NAM.
CoastalWx
RGEM looks like it has the best thrust of lift north over the border. Still a good deal of sleet north of pike it seems.
CoastalWx
RGEM was actually colder than 18z too. I think we'll have to watch how that precip shield develops and moves east later tomorrow.

We'll need heavy precip to make it interesting...if the really good stuff says mostly north of NH border, then it will probably be pretty mundane in SNE. Hopefully we'll get some good rates. Seems like best shot of deeper lift is north for now.

NorEastermass128
0z GFS is pretty meh south of the MA/NH border. We'll watch tomorrow, but this one like many of the others in the last nearly 60 days is trending in the wrong direction. Hoping the 60s are for real on Friday. Damage In Tolland
That stuff is def south..It making a beeline for Route 2 and south..not north I think a signal is the partly cloudy skies over the region this morning..showing the dry push winning out to the north
CoastalWx
All I said was to watch that stuff and see if it plays around with the advective processes. I wasn't really making a call since the models could be right. We'll see how it looks later....we need the heavier rates for anything noteworthy. 40/70 Benchmark
lol, I really don't see this being exciting for very many reallyYou mean it looks less impressive the later in the game we get? Who would have thought....not like that's been the theme for most for two months or anything. I really thought that trend would reverse as we approach the summer solstice. Most unfortunate.... CT Valley Snowman
it just looks out of sync to me, the better lift taking place this afternoon and again tomorrow afternoon before and after the best push of cold air.not expecting more than a couple of pingers here. Well, The theme continues, I don't expect anything more then some nickels or dimes like it has been over the last 2 months, Whatever falls will be gone over the next couple days anyways, Hopefully we flip to more of a warmer pattern soon
CoastalWx
It looks like a pretty good late season event for SNH area to the lakes which was the theme of best chance all along. The stuff later on looks to develop and head in that direction. Further south into near I-90..seems like the theme is more sleet with maybe snow mixing in with heavier echoes. Bottom line is that heaviest rates look to be north of the NH border for now. Gonna be a close call near LWM for some snow this evening. GFS has some snow there. Even at BOS for a brief time too. CoastalWx
It's too bad it seems like more lighter precip this evening outside of maybe a better burst this aftn with that stuff in NY state. Best chance for any bursts of mdt seem more FIT to LWM closer to the 850 WF.

CoastalWx
Definitely an interesting event when you can get some glaze in higher elevations too. Might have that snizzle/fzdz stuff in the higher el if we lose the deep lift since it's so dam cold up to 900. Warm air over that level sometimes gives you those tiny cruddy flakes. May we see that too?
CoastalWx
I'm looking forward to a nice late season icing event here Further SW is probably less QPF since you are deeper into the warm air aloft. Not sure about a nice glaze, but you'll probably see some ice.
ORH_wxman
That heavier batch in the southern tier of NY could produce snow/sleet this afternoon in MA. We'll have to see how intense it by the time it moves over the area.
