A couple semi's are on their side on I-80 near the Stockton exit in Iowa.  Looks like it's about the same spot where the tornado developed.  

very strong signature from that cell near DeWitt IA, and probably going to get very close to Clinton, IA. looking quite nasty on the radar.

WAS LOCATED NEAR CAMANCHE...AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH.  

 

THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION.  

 

HAZARD...DAMAGING TORNADO.  

 

SOURCE...RADAR CONFIRMED TORNADO.  

 

IMPACT...YOU ARE IN A LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. FLYING DEBRIS  

WILL BE DEADLY TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT SHELTER. MOBILE  

HOMES WILL BE DESTROYED. CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE TO HOMES...  

BUSINESSES AND VEHICLES IS LIKELY AND COMPLETE DESTRUCTION  

POSSIBLE.

back to Clinton IA for a sec. is it just me, or is the SRV showing either a transfer of rotational energy or a 2nd potential tornado near Clinton Airport to the SE?

 

SpotterNetwork report just came in reporting a multi-vortex tornado crossed the highway west of Clinton.
