LongBeachSurfFreak
These downslope days haven't let us down this spring.Definitly want that NW downslope slow over anything from the east this year. 70 and sunny is as nice as spring gets. Pure spring day in Manhattan right now
winterwarlock
I would not doubt a run at

jm1220
I'm surprised there aren't more backdoor fronts this year given how cold the waters are after this winter. So far we haven't seen the big Maritimes highs building and the usual trough over SE Canada that accompanies backdoor events.

Next 7 days looks pretty good overall.
bluewave
I'm surprised there aren't more backdoor fronts this year given how cold the waters are after this winter. So far we haven't seen the big Maritimes highs building and the usual trough over SE Canada that accompanies backdoor events. We had numerous back door fronts earlier in the month for much of the area north and east of NYC to see a cooler than normal April. But the ridge to the south was strong enough so we got several warm downslope days like to today. Tomorrow will see the return of the back door and easterly winds. Juliancolton
Spring abounds. It's nice to finally get that upper trough out of the way so the skies don't blossom into overcast at the first signs of sunshine.

LongBeachSurfFreak
Total temp free fall currently in Manhattan from warm almost hot to a cold wind in minutes. If you get in a court yard where the warm air is stuck it's much much warmer.
