Pretty windy here this morning. However there is a nice mild feel to the air as compared to days with an onshore flow. As I discussed earlier in the month onshore flow here is actually better then off for giving some chill. As we move into May it becomes increasingly difficult for an offshore flow to produce anything but 60s plus with sunny sky's

Im at 73 now it feels great

Looks like the pattern will shift cooler again next week for possibly the remainder of the month with all the blocking

the models are showing and the trough nearby. So we could be seeing the warmest readings of April coming

up on Saturday.

Not surprised at all by that. Hopefully not 40s and a raw NE wind

that's assuming it actually shows up.  We've had one barely -NAO since January, forecasts for it to fall or drop have often not happened or the drop is muted. But, since it's late April and we finally don't want it, it will verify! LOL

Surprised NYC hit it today albeit likely very briefly but it was going to hit it solidly on Saturday. It looks likely that the warmest temp this month for the city will come this Saturday.

We shall see if it stays under the 75 max of the 2000s for the month.

NYC temp back up from 68 to 69 degrees.

Might break thru 70 again.

The record breaking positive streak from 1//1/15 through today with only 1 -NAO day had to end some time.

But the timing is not what the spring lovers wanted to see here going into late April with a trough taking up

residence over the NE in the ensemble means. Would be a nice bonus if some higher elevation spots

in the interior NE see some flakes.
