Some big sloppy flakes mixed in with the snow at Columbia an hour ago. Got to penn and ran out for a sec to see the Empire State Building to gage the snow night and it was really high in midtown at least half way up. With the antenna really obscured in true snow. So this event went with climo and was super elevation driven

Very little of anything here today with just 0.04" precip.

I saw some wet snow flakes near the end of the precip...it snowed on the March first and 31st this year...I believe 1980 had a trace on the 1st and 31st...I can't think of hand if there are any other years with some snow on March 1st and 31st...

In the wake of the storm, the temperature fell to freezing in NYC. April 2014 and 2015 have had readings at or below 32° in NYC, following six consecutive years when the temperature failed to reach freezing in NYC. The last time consecutive years had a freezing reading in NYC was April 2003 and April 2004 (April 2002 through April 2004 had minimum temperatures at or below freezing in April).
