Pretty cool as you Could even look up from the ground at the taller building and see flakes and watch them melt on the way down. Super insulation at the ground level helping temps to be a few degrees warmer then even a couple hundred feet up. Speaking of elevation and snow, this weekend at whiteface at the summit it was deep winter with a snow pack in the feet 4400' at the base at 1100' there were bare patches in the sun and very little new snow. In Ramsey I should mention that my location is on Hiltop Rd which has a tiny bit of elevation, maybe 50-100' higher than Rt. 17. It may very well be just plain rain down on Rt 17. It's obvious the snow isn't going to accumulate at all on the roadways but we are going to be dropping into the upper 20's and that's going to turn the secondary roads, hills, overpasses and bridges into skating rinks. All this white rain/rain is ponding and soaking the roads and there will almost certainly be some major icing issues even well after all the precip ends.
