harrisale
A wonderful 56F out there. Quite windy with the passing of the cold front but with the sun peeking out it feels great. A bit of moisture left in the air as well. Haven`t felt that in the morning for some time. By far the warmest week of the year on tap. Trees should FINALLY start budding this week. daddylonglegs
Band of rain incoming from the north.... can say bye bye to any drought talk for awhile....although with sandy soils int his area, we do dry out very quickly.
Geos
Was nice and sunny, but now clouds and showers moving in. Definitely can forget about drought here this month.
hawkeye_wx
The forecast this afternoon called for wind of 20-25 mph with gusts to 30 mph, but it has been well above that. Last hour Cedar Rapids reported 35 mph gusting to 45 mph. It's really howling. It's only 50 degrees, too, so it is not warm at all, even with full sun. Geos
Thinking some patchy ground fog will develop tonight with all the moisture in the air. 0.03" of rain this afternoon and a high of 58° before the showers arrived.
Hoosier
Only 0.17" of rain here at the house today. The heavy rain event this week has been an epic fail here, with only 0.21" total the last four days. Made it to 77, with the dew peaking at 65. the "cyclone bubble" so far this month

wisconsinwx
Had some more rain with occasional thundershowers this afternoon, which dropped about a tenth to a quarter of an inch for most of SE Wisconsin, how quickly it seems we have turned from a dry pattern to a pretty wet one. Glad it changed at this time of year, a dry April might have had me worried.
daddylonglegs
Fog never turned up...maybe too much wind... Nice weekend on tap..most 60Fs for the area.

Chicago Storm
Max wind gust here of 48mph on Thursday and 45mph yesterday. Some minor damage (tree/fence/etc), and even saw multiple power flashes while out Thursday night. Kind of surprising given we see these types of winds several times a year. weatherbo
Just cracked 50 degrees! Aiming for 65 tomorrow. Have lost about 1/2 of the 11"snow that fell. There's an unnatural brightness outside. Weird to have such bright sun and snow. So bright it almost burns... Def have to wear sunglasses to be out any length of time.

Looking forward to 67° and fishing tomorrow.

Powerball
Detroit has another shot at hitting 70*F (for the first time of the year) tomorrow. DTX's even hinting at a isolated severe weather risk, depending on the amount of daytime heating and the timing of the front.

Powerball
If the front can slow up any we could have a chance. Latest Hi-Res models blow up a line of t'storms around 21z tomorrow, right along a Port Huron-Detroit-Monroe line, before the front moves off to the east. So it will be close... michsnowfreak
Took this pic yesterday. Grass greening up quickly. walk in park = muddy disaster inside the wooded areas. We didnt have heavy rain here (we totaled 0.71" over the 4-day period Apr 7-10), so I presume some of it is still from snowmelt.

Really greening up there. from mqt: Currently at the National Weather Service in Negaunee Twp, the temperature is 65 degrees. Even though many places across Upper Michigan have seen temperatures above 60 already this spring, this is the first time it has reached 60 at the NWS office since October 24, 2014. Enjoy the spring weather! High of 64 IMBY. Perfect day minus the real strong winds. Other than that it was awesome. Was outside all day today. Melted a lot of snow... only around 15-18" left and its very soft. just took this pic... the creek along my house has opened back up and really flowing nice.
