Dark here as well with low ceilings. Temperatures in the mid 40s still. Seeing the convection downstate again really makes me wonder how far the warm front will really get today...

Warm front is currently between I-80 and I-88, steadily pushing north.

Just drove up from the West side of Indy about an hour ago through that first wave of storms in Central In.  A few nice CG's. Nothing severe, no wind at all.  But boy did it come down in buckets.  Pitch black out, and super intense rain.  I haven't seen rain that intense for that long since I lived in the south 5 years ago and a quick 4inch downburst in the low country wasn't uncommon. White River is up to the top of it's banks.  Roads are flooded.  Hwy 28 was down to one lane in some parts of town with 8-10 inches of standing water.  Couldn't see the grass in half of my 1 acre yard. 1.85 (some of that was from earlier, I didn't check on my way out) in my guage when I arrived home ...... I mean my new "lakefront" home.  Seeing some small breaks in the clouds already.  Give me a few hours of sun and hopefully the party gets started

Raining again with the weakening line of storm moving to the northeast. Low 40s in Racine and now upper 40s into NE Lake County.

Thinking low 60s for a brief period of time, but probably nothing beyond that up this way.

Stuck at 44F...it had stopped raining, but now it started back up...   blah blah blah...  its really turned green here (the grass) but the trees have been stuck for a while now...some showing green...but not a whole lot yet...next week i would imagine we'll make the transformation (at least start to).

What a big temperature difference in Southern Ontario and Western New York. 37F here in Toronto and 65F in Buffalo. Niagara on the Lake, Ontario is 44F and 50km (31 Miles) south in Fort Erie Ontario its 65F.

I know spring brings in some incredible temperature variations in short distances but this is one of the higher ones I've seen in a while.

Winter Storm warning with 7-12" in my p&c forecast. Doesn't sound as exciting as what's goin on in the south tho. I fully expect this to be my last Winter headline event until the Fall. Bring on Spring! Be safe everyone.

Do NOT hold your breath

Solid t-storm rolled through early morning. Sounded like we might have gotten some tiny hail too at one point

That one was a good one, probably the first real thunderstorm so far. Had the best rainfall rates so far this year with some nice lightning too. Didn't look like much on radar at the time but there were some good downpours.

Late this afternoon I finally got lucky and had a thin line of storms train over me.  I picked up 1.25" of rain.  Until this storm, I had only received a total of 1 inch of rain since March 1st and only 0.04" this week.  It was great seeing some hail fall again.  The 0.75" pieces were the biggest I've seen in years. :)

So hilariously, 4/9/15 and 4/10/15 will be the 2 warmest days of the year-to-date for Detroit, both with possibly Midnight highs (of 65*F?).

Hey, we made it to 68 this morning!

Didn't even have to close the door on my car just a few minutes ago, the wind did it quite emphatically

Yep, at 3am high of 68*F. The there was an official Midnight high of 65*F on 4/9/15, both of which are Detroit warmest days of the year so far.

Yet the previous warmest day of the year had a daytime high which actually underachieved, lol
