weatherbo
I have thoroughly enjoyed the past weeks weather. The snow is almost gone and I have been outside cleaning up. Snow hit so soon after the leaves fell last Fall, I wasn't able to clear them properly. Looking forward to the rain tonight and tomorrow, as that will likely clean up the rest of Winter's snow, but the weather following the rain is a bitter pill to swallow after the past weeks top notch Spring weather. Chitown Storm
Steady rain for the last few hours. Been under a band no more than 30mi wide running almost due north. Finally caught a break for once.
stormtrackertf
Finally another downpour with this bigger batch of rain. Had been a big bust up to this point...we'll see if we get our much needed inch of rain tonight.

stormtrackertf
MBY will be lucky to get a quarter inch. We have like 0.30"-0.40" so far today. I doubt we make an inch unless that last batch starts looking a bit juicier as it heads up this way.
Powerball
Definitely have plenty of rain here. Maybe not 1" plenty, but everything looks and sounds soaked. Just a heavy and sideways-falling mess that's missing the electrostatic discharges...
Powerball
Didn't get any thunder here but there was a very solid downpour for about 10-15 minutes. Yep, the lightning went "poof" once the band came onshore from Lake Erie. Oh well! I got a brief downpour, but it didn't last more than a couple minutes and was just enough to "dampen" the ground. cyclone77
Rain with the eastern low backed further west than many of the models showed, so we ended up getting a pretty good soaking rain here. 0.52" to be exact. Heaviest rain in over a month.

Hoosier
If the long range models are right, there may not be much more action the rest of the month.

weatherbo
Currently 35 and rain (wind chill 29). Have had .37" thus far. Should really help green things up in May. Radar suggest rain starting to mix with snow over the west, but not here until later. Stuck inside today so got a nice warm fire going.
hawkeye_wx
This system really dumped on us, much more than expected. I ended up with 2.10". I was just hoping for over a half inch, but we got lucky with some early spotty bands of potent showers and then last night's deformation zone pivoted and parked right over me. We were pretty dry a couple weeks ago and the yellow was expanding on the drought map, but 3.7" of rain over the last two weeks has put a quick end to that. Unfortunately, a few counties between Cedar Rapids and the Quad Cities are still bone dry as they've missed both recent rain events that dumped on me. daddylonglegs
It never stopped raining overnight. I have had a mutant cold the last week so i was up half the night coughing and never once was it not raining. Amts haven't been that high...around 3/4 inch here. 43F now. Lots of frost/freeze potential the next week...yeah!
