wholeheartedly agree.  i don't think anymore left in me to be honest.

grass finally greened up, and buds appeared on the trees today. until early this week it still looked like mid january.

Maxed out at 78f
Sorta feel the need to say, last winter was brutal.
Maybe another two left in me up here.
Can always travel for big snows.

Got down to 36 here this morning, flurries flying in the air again today.  Below I was able to copy and paste some stats from my records in order to compare the past two winters.  The formatting isn't perfect but I think it's good enough.  Most of the stats are strictly Dec-Feb but I will throw in some from the other months as well which is way some of the numbers like snowfall don't add up as displayed.  Feel free to ask questions as I may even answer it, if anyone even reads this thread these days.

Rob, what reporting station are you getting your snowfall averages from?

Classic question as we are all always looking for solid snowfall averages in our neck of the woods. I use KMGJ since I live so close to it and I've grabbed it from various sources over the years to be honest. Keep in mind, this obviously isn't scientific at all.  Now that I have 10 winters under my belt at my house I'm considering running a 10 year average.  This is what I currently use:

Nov: 1.3

Dec: 8.9

Jan: 13.3

Feb: 10.6

Mar: 7.9

Apr: 1.3

Oh no, now I'm quoting myself....anyway, I just ran my 10 year averages and my seasonal total is 3" greater than what I had.  Heres the breakdown:

38 degrees at noon.

SO far this has not been an impressive cold snap for lows. I haven't been below 31 the past two nights which is only 7 degrees below normal. However as far as daytime highs go this has been very impressive. Never got above 41 yesterday and probably won't get above that today. Considering it's almost May and I've had snow showers or flurries for two days, maybe I'm nuts but I love it.

Is this your 05-15 average? I would think it would be at least 50".

28 for the low here and I really hope we don't see that again until next October.

Yea. I was going to plant the garden today and flowers etc.

Little concerned I hit freezing Sunday morning again.

Mt Holly NWS mentions frost/freeze is possible again in certain areas.

Going to wait until the coming weekend

That's s good call. I almost always wait until at least Mother's Day for annuals.
