OceanStWx
One more dominant storm and you're probably going to get at least one strong tornado today given the magnitude of the directional shear. That's a wicked meso entering Ralls County, MO at 0.9 degrees from LSX.
andyhb
That's a wicked meso entering Ralls County, MO at 0.9 degrees from LSX. Multiple supercells approaching St. Louis within a very strong low level shear environment with a Cardinals game (against a division rival no less) fast approaching. That doesn't sound good to me. Quincy
A lowering (quite low) rotating wall cloud with the storm south of Monroe City. An appendage (funnel?) hanging down, but nothing conclusive at this range.
OceanStWx
And another in Audrain County. We're talking rotational velocities over 40 knots, that's healthy.

Original Hannibal storm is the one I'd be most concerned about for now. Has access to 300-400+ m2/s2 ESRH within the backed low level wind field along the MS River. OceanStWx
And yet it is the only one out of those front trio that doesn't have a TOR on it. Playing with fire a bit. If it were me I would have a TOR drawn up and ready to go though.
OceanStWx
In fact it has a pretty strong mid level meso at this time (1.3 degree scan).

Indystorm
Well, I did my good deed for the day. Called St. Louis NWS to report that svr polygons were not appearing on their radar. The met pulled up the webpage and noticed this to be true and thanked me. Not a good situation with tors approaching St. Louis.

It's about to really get into some population shortly, though the RFD is starting to wrap pretty tightly in there. Maybe can get cut off before doing too much damage. Chitown Storm
Can anyone explain to me why in the heck they decided to start the Cubs/Cardinals game in downtown STL?
