Big difference between work in Racine and home. Roads were snow covered from Kenosha southward, but mainly wet north. Probably only 1.5" in Racine, but I wouldn't doubt near 4" at home.

 

Heaviest total I saw in NE IL so far.

I see LAF has reported nothing all day. :lol:

 

I can't even get an updated ob.  Actually seems like many of the 1 PM obs haven't come in.

 

Was a quick little spurt when I made my other post but then it backed off.  Now it's starting to pick up again...

Just had a spurt of big flakes. Not many of them, but they were huge. Very interesting... 

 

For having 35+ dbz overhead, it was underwhelming.  When it's not snowing hard with those echoes, there's either sleet mixing in or a dry layer.
