LongBeachSurfFreak
Monmouth and Ocean Counties are doing well. Still mod snow here. And this is what it looks like at New Egypt western ocean: Based on radar it must be 2" hour down there. Has been steady moderate in manhattan for a while now. Not even close to sticking on paced surfaces though
cjr231
It is definitely sticking to everything that isn't pavement near my office in Gramercy now.

Allsnow
It's not hard enough. Under .10" of qpf so far at all the NYC stations. Radar does not look to great to me for the metro area. I think this is more of a central nj thing now.
SomeWeatherGeek
This is a bust for Manhattan. It's just not sticking simple as that. I was afraid this would be a taint storm and it's turning out that way! Bring on spring
winterwarlock
1.5 inches grass...what I am noticing on the pavement and sidewalks is while its accumulating a little...its also melting eventually as it sits so not really gaining much accumulation there...snow is moderate but sun angle is workin on It..good job mr sun

Plus everyone said manhattan would have trouble due to it being a heat island. And you were not afraid this would happen. It's snowing heavily but everything is melting. Bronx and northern queens at least are getting snow. I would call this a bust only for Manhattan! It's just not getting it done bud! simpsonsbuff
Per Don, NYC had 0.2 at 2pm... when 0.03 liquid had fallen at the park. Seems to me there isn't too much of a sticking problem in Central Park... It's just going to be a matter of actually getting the precip...

Not sure where 4-7 hours of accumulating snow for NYC and north is coming from. The heavy stuff is still moving more E than NE from DE and even showing breaks coming out of NE PA. It doesn't appear that we are going to hit the forecasted amounts north of I80 based on radar.
