Ginx snewx
Yes, I'm sure Scott knows how to read that QPF falls in the previous hours lesson up to it. It is still snow in those areas he mentioned verbatim on the ecmwf. twas an odd exchange

Typhoon Tip
lol not my first time looking at a model. Its a snow column prior to the time period, and a snow column at the end of the period, and precipitation falls between the two snapshots that show a snow column. Well, if you noticed ... when Scott said that, I was okay with it -- but neither of you sounded off with that at first, so how would I have known. It's all good.. But as I also said, my experience with those sorts of tail enders is that the models overdo QPF. But as Scoot also intimated ...let's get the dang thing to verify a set up first. That models have been reflecting the season of uncertainty rather nicely. And no, Will, you'd be surprised how many times I've read mets on this forum screw that timing thing up. It's an easy mistake to make

Typhoon Tip
Looks like the 18z GFS whitens things a little ...or at least puts it in the air. On the light side, and marginality at the sfc may impeded accumulations. Between 100 and 104 hours out...

weathafella
I thoroughly enjoy working outside with my hands. I got up at 6 on my day off, started working on spring clean up immediately, raked, stacked, cleaned, vacuumed the truck washed it and dried it. I just love being outside doing something. Not understanding the aversion to manual labor. No aversion to building. Big aversion to car washing. Is rather not EVER get up at 6 but I need to on work days. Anyway, I'll hire you for my jobs I don't want to do but you're probably too old.

I blew out my gutters of leaves from atop my roof right before winter.I skied 150 miles last week often at high speed. Yes I can, I still work as a facility manager and often are on roofs, in high lifts, precarious situations. Don't know why you think I can't. I am not afraid of life , if something happens it happens. I know my limitations but mostly still doing it Jerry

I am not afraid of life , if something happens it happens. I know my limitations but mostly still doing it JerryI decided at age 50 to stop going up on roofs. I can hire folks when needed. I'll take my chances within know capabilities or those I'm prepared for. I have no desire for hard physical work but enjoy a vigorous workout. I'm at the point in life where if I don't want to do something, I hire someone else to take care of it. Good for the local economy. Meanwhile, that gives me the opportunity to work deep into old age or as long as I am physically and mentally capable. If you get to your roof through a portal without a long ladder it's fine. I don't have that luxury at home.
