CAPE
Surprised at the widespread moderate to heavy snow area over here. Models really didnt have the heavier stuff here early. Definite over-performer for interior areas of the mid and upper eastern shore.
mdhokie
mod to heavy snow, big flakes and parts of the street and sidewalk are covered. Maybe 1" on the deck so far? Exceeded my expectations.
dailylurker
Back roads were slick while headed to work. I'm sure they will be fine once that sun gets up higher.

cae
Look like there's about 1" on the ground. Driveway is covered, and side roads are beginning to give up. I suspect the sun will take care of that though. My thermometer says 32 degrees, but I suspect it's running about 1 degree too cold. Nearby weather stations say 33. It's 12z. According to the 00z NAM, precip should just be starting now. RGEM and 06z NAM were right about the earlier start time.

EastCoast NPZ
Turned to snow around 5:30 AM here. There was - at best - 1/2" slushy mess on the grass, less on the cars, and nothing on any hard surface. Obviously didn't snow for long. What decent precip we had was wasted as rain from 3:30 to 5:30. We end the winter IMBY as we began it, with a THUD. Got to work in Middletown and there was nothing more than a T.
WxUSAF
Small flakes in Columbia turned into parachutes in Greenbelt by the time I got to work. 95/32/295 were just wet, although the shoulders had snow/slush. All the secondary roads in Columbia were slushy.

mattie g
It was raining in Burke when I woke up, but it had just flipped to wet snow when I left for work at 6:30 am. Ugly morning. I can barely see any flakes here in Crystal City.
