TheManWithNoFace
Rgem is south. Not too different from the NAM. It's also warm. Where the best snowfall rates are, the RGEM has sfc temps 35-36.
Brian5671
Not a good sign for me.. Seems my worries for North of 84 were warranted North of NYC in general is in trouble an perhaps the city itself. Light amounts of An inch or two isn't going to accumulate mid day except on grass

Brian5671
Here we go again. We've seen it happen before. It's almost like last March, just not as suppressed as last year, but north of Hartford has pretty much been shut out this month

SnowGoose69
We saw the RGEM bust too low on the last event 24 hrs out also for NYC. The RGEM has actually had somewhat of a south lean on systems the last 6 weeks, prior to that it had been biased warm and north the first half of the winter. UlsterCountySnowZ
Talking about early dismissals is also banter Not really, this isn't a model thread, it's a storm threat thread, and closures are a product of the impending storm. I see nothing wrong with talking about storm impacts
SomeWeatherGeek
Rgem is the best model at this range without a doubt. Was it a great run? No it wasn't but it wasn't a bad run either. Nam I just don't like that model at all. GFS was a great run but do I trust it no. I'm still going with 4-6 as rgem and nam both advertised that for our area in previous runs. At least 3 inches is a lock for Central Park! I'm still going with 5 inches for the park and Staten Island with 6 inches!
winterwarlock
And I asked if busses drive on grass because pavement will see less than half of the 4 inch amounts imo
ag3
1-3 Rgem is 2"-4" for NYC and LI. GFS is 5"-7"

Was too low with snow amounts and too south. It could easily bump north at 18z and 0z tonight.

ag3
And I asked if busses drive on grass because pavement will see less than half of the 4 inch amounts imo Why wouldn't the snow stick to streets if the temps are 28-31 degrees with a thick cloud deck? Thanks for the reply in advance. (Obviously not talking about midtown Manhattan) Also, How did your 2"-4" call go for the March 5th 6"-10" storm??
