I hate those warm seasons where we push 90F in Apr-mid May and then JJA is mostly crud except for a warm, sunny stretch to end Aug or into Sep. I don't want my high for the year in Apr, May, or Sep.

I think most share that sentiment..you want heat and humidity most of the summer when it's supposed to be that way in new England and come late Aug/Sept..start cooling things off as we approach fall

It is?  That sounds more like NJ than New England unless a climo peak of 81/59 is what you meant by heat and humidity.

Despite the wintry reminder this midweek ... and as discussed re the whiplash flip around toward this weekend, get a load of these GFSX MOS numbers

FIT

X/N 47| 30 43| 30 40| 36 61| 50 60| 36 62| 38 62| 43 63 33 55

That's interesting to do considering the product normalizes toward climo out in time.   Four days of positive departures -

BOS

X/N 41| 33 37| 30 37| 37 63| 55 62| 41 60| 43 61| 45 60 38 55

Analogs/-EPO suggest another cool summer like last year so those looking for heat and humidity will likely be disappointed and will have to do some spinning of 62 degree dews as "high dews" and 82 degree temps as "deep summer"

seriously, if we have another summer like last summer, I'll take it and run...

yeah it was pretty nice, sunny most weekends, dry most of the time. (although I would have liked a good severe storm or 2).  Had to wait till early Sept for anything remotely close.

i was thinking about editing my post to add that we were lacking on the t-storms last summer and if we could just get a few more then it would be perfect

yep, thank god for my neighbors, we stick to ourselves and concern about the real problems in life.

I was kidding, lighten up a bit... I'm  good friends with all my neighbors, we hang out all the  time in the summer, shuck claims together on Fairfield beach, and the kids all play together.

lol - and I fall for it every time. D'oh!

Will has this odd fetish where he links me and hyperbole. Couldn't be farther from the truth if he tried. I don't understand why, but he has been posting about it for a year or so now. At any rate, no secret I like a hot summers and cold winters. Avg might be 81/59 but we get there thru highs and lows. I'm hopeful this summer is one of those highs. We had our low last summer. That's really all there is to say. We'll see what Mother Nature wants to do

You are a self-proclaimed hypster of weather...you should be agreeing with me that hyperbole accurately describes the genere of posts.

perhaps he needs the definition?

Hyperbole (/hˈpɜrbəl/ hy-pur-bə-lee;[1] Greekὑπερβολή hyperbolē, "exaggeration") is the use of exaggeration as a rhetorical device or figure of speech. It may be used to evoke strong feelings or to create a strong impression, but is not meant to be taken literally
