And the other extreme....attachicon.gifIMG_20150329_133708822~01.jpg

Low blow. I wish you a season's worth of low temperatures in the single digits with wind, while your neighbors in the valley below bask in the double digits below zero.

Waikiki will be gone by Saturday?

Good god I hope not. I have a very important date scheduled with that place when misery mist season rolls around again next year.

I'll take the wind and cold any day. Nice here though. No complaints.

Open fields are just patches of snow around here, even in the higher elevations.

My yard is 6" shade but bare now in the full sun spots.

Gorgeous day, 40's in the sun, just a light breeze.

I'm officially checking out of winter mode. Let's melt off, dry out the mud and on to spring clean up. No more accumulating snow here until next November now.

Increasingly warm temps, cooking on the grille, flip flops, shorts, kind bros playing frisbee while little sugar magnolias in batik dresses run through flowering fields sowing cannabis seeds.

I know that version is a little mainstream, but it's one of my favorite versions of one of my all time favorite songs.

...gotta add another clip, I absolutely love the tank top guy in the front row tripping his face off. You know he's having an amazing time.

Spring is official in central Maine.  The geese are seldom wrong.  (As Aldo Leopold wrote, they invest several hundred miles of flight in their decision that the season has arrived.)  First pair of Canadas seen on Belgrade Stream (actually standing on the ice at the edge of open water) at the Rt 27 bridge this morning.

I've been seeing lots of them around here. Spring is coming!! Albeit slowly.
