Damage In Tolland
They know how to run a spring out there. But dry air mass, steep lapse rates, easily mixes out. For someone who loves the extremes it's amazing you live in such a moderated climate. Would never live outside of New England. Would just summer in FL

OceanStWx
JJA.. Prime tstorm , dew and cane season ?? Considering the season peaks 9/10, and doesn't even start until 6/1, prime hardly seems like the right word there.

Down there they can get them anytime. If we knew one was coming , we'd stay into Sept

If we knew one was coming , we'd stay into Sept They can, but the chance are much higher late summer and early fall. Just like a tornado outbreak can happen in any month, but are much more likely April through June.

Big ridge out west and trough in the east definitely shuts the door on the Gulf supplying any appreciable moisture.
