CapturedNature
Besides ski slopes are there still any random snow piles in SNE? Maybe at some of the snowfarm areas? There's still some south of my town along Rte 32. The town dumps it there from the narrower streets. Hopefully it makes it through the week. Nittany88
That's pretty cool though. Love those old twisty roads. I'll be up there in August. Maybe I'll give it a whirl. Definitely worth it! Very cool road and area through the notch. Last summer it was a big issue. This road shows up on all GPS and will cut travel time by 1.5 hours it takes to go around the mountain...and at least a half-dozen commercial trucks got stuck in there last summer. FED-EX was one of the companies that tried and failed last summer. This truck is hung up on large rocks in the brush. They needed like a crane to get the back end out. image.jpg Lol at least once (or several times) a year. It's not like there's not a copious amount of warning signs! Cold Miser
I ran thru swarms of these huge black bugs this morning. it was still not totally light out so was hard to initially see them..Totally crushed me. Got in my eyes..I swallowed 1 or 2 and when I got home they were plastered to my face in the sweat and had a few stuck to my eyelashes. What an awful experienceI know an old man who swallowed some flies. I don't know why.Yup. Black flies are freaking miserable.

Brian5671
it looks like most of Connecticut should be able to take a light drink this morning, southern areas doing the best. Nope. A few sprinkles here, but that's it.

CT Valley Snowman
Nope. A few sprinkles here, but that's it. I drove through steady light rain in the Meriden Wallingford Hamden area this morning. radar looked decent for more areas but like Kevin alluded to the dry air was too much to overcome
Lava Rock
That looks pretty sweet though. I imagine she doesn't go into the ocean much? fresh water only. It's a 1957 Barbour. My Dad had it since the 70's. I grew up in that boat fishing and kneeboarding behind it. Good times. PITA to maintain though.

With a good chunk of New England now seeing dews in the 20s and lower 30s as we mix this afternoon, you couldn't get a piece of TP to stick to you if you tried.
