Do you think Wachusett would let me ski on Sunday? I only have a bronze pass which isn't good on weekend days, but I'm wondering if I just show up if they'll say anything since its possibly the last weekend lol.

I would try it...just fly casual

The worst they could do is send you away...then go to another lift.

I'm surprised how bullish models are for warmer wx tomorrow aftn....esp around here. I gotta take the under here at least through mid aftn. There isn't a big HP damming us, but I don't see much to flush out the leftover cruddy airmass.

Ah, I suggest we RH evac very fast after fropa.  I'm looking upstream and there's low DPs in air mass at 50F preparing to roll down slope.  As the sun rises and the gradient realizes, could be spring fire watch weather if it were not for this saturated mire we've been immersed in the last couple of days.

I think we'll find that hi's range circa 49 to 63, from the roof top els to the parking lots of the coastal plain(s).

That's my guess...

Hey, you know what... folks have been complaining about the tedium of temperature arguments as Spring matures into summer. I agree, it's an excessively tedious focus.  It is, however, Meteorological to focus in such discrete matters -- but that's another issue.  I was thinking, why not have daily hi and low temperature forecast contests?

We used to do this while undergrads. In fact, we had our own in Lab perpetual game, but there was also a national one.  Man there were some freak-show prescient people in the game...  Anyway, why not make it interesting ? We could even have like a dollar entry fee, and who ever wind first place gets 50%... 2nd place gets 30...and on down to n

:)    right... to which I agree - ahahhaha.

Yeah, today was always a slam dunk for too fast warm frontal displacement.

April?  New England?    ... almost seems like the only place on planet Earth where climate dictates the weather :arrowhead:

But the sky is brightening here and the orb of the sun is becoming dimly visible.  I discussed this in the other thread -- curious what ur thought are on the idea of the warm front actually becoming diffused ...and the entire region just sort of defaulting dirty toward evening.

I'm 45 F now...you know, christ it already feels a helluva bit better than than the last two days.

It does... but on further thought, using a public domain space to wager money in the like over such matters would probably be construed as gambling, ...and that of course enters too much bullcrap to be ratified.

But, there could be something in bragging rights. Ha.

Point being, do something... I dunno -

What would you rate that on your Nape tanning index scale?

The spine els of the Berks and Greens poking into the warm sector as it comes in just off the deck.  I wonder if Rt 2 out near N Adams, as it rounds Gray Lock and overlooks the Mohawk Valley might be top side of the mire...

That's always an interesting vantage point.

But seeing lots of 55-60F temps popping out that way.

You guys are funny --

someone makes a post that attempts to shine optimism on an afternoon...and you come swooping in to sully with some tarnished description of dreariness...

okay, to each his own we suppose.

For me here in Ayer, the temp has surged from 41 to 49 in the last hour alone.  No the sun isn't shining... fine, but we're talking nearly 20 F warmer than yesterday at 12z ...  And it's not done.

I'm almost wondering if we might see a temp spike just after the cfront late tonight...

It's just cloudy at my house and here up at work, but BOS was a pit.

oooh, you were in Boston...

Lemme guess...shrouds of cloud weaving around the Prudential, which may even have disappeared into the ceiling?

yeah, seen that sort of look before.

Even better. Classic low clouds covering the Pru, but as you looked east out past the Seaport area towards Logan..that low stratus oozing in on an 090 wind. This was coming up from the south on the expressway, so I have a good view of that.
