HRRR's, if they have any credibility, have rain showers redeveloping in Boston metro around 1pm-ish, then changeover to snow in a squall around 4pm with intermittently heavier showers through 7-8pm

DPs have ticked down at Logan from 35 to 32 in past few hours, but otherwise boundary layer is still pretty toasty

Intermittent light rain now for the past 45 minutes. New RGEM still has us on record watch with the bulk coming 5-8pm.

This sounds like an NWS office buckin' for a record break ...

THERE IS A MODERATE PROBABILITY FOR SNOW SHOWERS TO ACCUMULATE AN
INCH OR 2 ACROSS PORTIONS OF EASTERN MA THIS AFTERNOON...WITH A
LOW PROBABILITY FOR LOCALIZED AMOUNTS UP TO 3 INCHES.

Complete fail here. Bring on late Morch and Naperil.

Guidance for next year will be stop upgrading watches so damn early.

GYX has to be running a 33% false alarm ratio this winter. I think LEW to AUG has seen maybe 50% of our forecast snowfall this season.
