metalicwx366
Brick you are late posting the meso-discusssion, the tornado watch is already out. Also our severe thunderstorm watch needs to be completely trimmed to just include NFL. No way conditions anywhere across SGA are favorable for severe weather. They were across Leon county in FL though where it was like 30 reports of wind damage earlier.
No snow for you
Some very nasty storms popping up north of GSP along i-85 and north. Hail and heavy winds.
downeastnc
Some very nasty storms popping up north of GSP along i-85 and north. Hail and heavy winds. Indeed the one west of Greenville is especially nasty looks to be some decent hail in that one......so far though no signs of rotation in any of them
Hvward
Cell just east of Marietta looks to have supercell form. A small amount of rotation on it but nothing impressive just yet. Edit: Got tor warned as I was typing.

downeastnc
Effective EHI etc all support weak spin up tornados and maybe even a few longer lived tornados especially over the upstate and piedmont on NC

downeastnc
Could be severe criteria hail about to enter Winston-Salem....and signs some rotation may be forming but its kinda early but this storm exploded quickly so if it does rotate it might not take much. downeastnc
Tornadic cell in GA appears to be cycling still looks classic but rotation ramped down , lets see if a new one starts up and the new bad boy is the cell entering Winston-Salem the thing is a beast and its got one hell of a hail core on it right now. a5ehren
Good looking right-moving cell north of ATL, but not much besides the hail core showing up at the moment. Not much SRV shear that I can see. The hail is being confirmed by media reports, though.
NEGa
wow some active wx here today! sun came out this morning and i figured things were done (had a pretty decent storm about 6 AM). had a hail storm (well a thunderstorm with a lot of hail lol) - some of it was about quarter size. another storm moving in now, and even bigger storms near atlanta. the hail last about 10 minutes or so

downeastnc
Any discrete cells that fire between Charlotte and Raleigh will be in best area to see rotation so that should be the hot spot over the next 2-3 hrs then it will end with the sun getting down.....Raleigh to the east might see something but severe criteria might not be achieved. EDIT: My weather radio is going off every few minutes, no automated message, real voice? Same warning as above, just from GSP in a human voice. They must be really down bad. downeastnc
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Chatham, Harnett, and Lee counties. That area is really the butter zone for tornados, if anything is going to put down a stronger more substantial tornado its cells in this area.....
