NRVwxfan.
Getting pummeled 2nd day in a row in SAV with severe storms! Wow! Thank goodness I'm inside for the entire thing as opposed to driving through part of the insanity yesterday. Just curious, but do you live in Savannah or Atlanta? Brick Tamland
Severe thunderstorm warning for southern Wake County. That has been where all the severe storms have been lately in Wake.
Brick Tamland
That is a pretty good line of storms on the Wake County line.

Cold Rain
More big rain at the house again. Was under the warning but outside of some gusty winds, there wasn't much in the way of severe aspects at the house.
WidreMann
I saw some good CG lightning, and the storm started with some gusty winds, but nothing earth-shattering. A good amount of rain too. I was driving from west Raleigh to Durham during the storm, so I got a nice cross-section.
Brick Tamland
Storm has been a dud here again.
Brick Tamland
Crazy how I have yet to see a severe storm when under a severe storm warning this year. The lack of any big storms here has been unreal.

Yes Brick. We know. You say this every time there is a warning. How about just assuming we know you didn't get a severe storm and just post if your house is swept away. How about just assuming we know you didn't get a severe storm and just post if your house is swept away. Because there was a warning for Wake Forest tonight and still no severe storm again. If there was an actual storm here worth a darn I would not be saying it again. This is the severe storm thread, and I had a warning, and just saying what the results were. I know a while ago RAH posted on facebook that this year has been one with the fewest severe storms in a while, and there was research about a correlation with EL Nino, I think, and few severe storms. Brick Tamland
This seems to be the only way I can get a good storm this year, when there is no watch and they are very isolated. So, maybe I will get a good one this time.

Brick Tamland
Why weren't we under a watch for this??!! Newman! Probably because it is very isolated and has not been an outbreak like it was the last time we had tornado warnings around and no watch.
