  1. 1. When will DCA report its first spring thunder?

  2. 2. How many days with severe weather watches in the subforum in 2015?

The really juicy dew points are down at I-64.  Really meh setup today it seems.  Even Saturday looks like a low end rain storm...was hoping for a more substantial event.

I-64 isn't that far away... true its in RIC, but the DP's are slowly going up here

This would have been a good time for a mod to come around and say hey man this aint the right thread. Since it started in March. But alas we know how they operate...

I have a few other things we can add to that pot if you wish to keep stirring. ;)

I think we should have one big winter thread - maybe the one that started back at the end of this past winter - and only have threads for individual snow events if they're anomalous in some way (huge dumping, early or late impressive event, etc.).

The funny thing is that we'd likely have one, maybe two, threads this coming winter since Nino is going to bring us lots of rain.

yeah, sort of.    It's actually a new watch box that was drawn to fill in the gap between the box to the east and box to the west.

it has been a fun day to watch the SPC "boxology" in action.

*severe thunderstorm watch* expanded to cover all of central MD and northern VA.

Edit: storm just popped up right over my house and is putting out some crazy lightning.
