canderson
abc27 showed that cloud, I'm not convinced it's a wall. It's dark, so hard to decipher. They say they see rotation (a tiny bit) on radar. Carlisle is under the gun.

MillvilleWx
We're intercepting that cell now heading toward Harrisburg. On 15 heading north. Looks vicious from here. Already got lightning in the distance

Already got lightning in the distanceIf you take it to Camp Hill, I'd hook a left at the river and go toward 81. You have a good chance in the triangle there IMO. You can hop on 81/Werstville/11 quickly then too.

canderson
And let me say, I rag on abc27 often but they are doing a nice job tonight explaining this. They're also explaining why they are staying live instead of cutting to programming. Kudos to those guys.

canderson
Thanks Canderson!!Just be careful the mountain there can block a cell, plus it's getting real dark. Heads up, just don't get stuck between the storm and the river and mountain!
jm1220
Wow, I think once or twice in 5 years I've seen hail in State College living there. Awesome storms today.
MAG5035
Nicest hailstone I've ever seen! There's still a bit of a rotation couplet east of Boalsburg running along route 45 and just crossing 322 attm . Wonder if it's got anything going, that's a pretty good area to observe stuff of that nature.

If you use your imagination, you can kind of see a ZDR arc offset from the max reflectivity and KDP, though a lot of that KDP is probably coming from melting hail. Blizzard of 93
I can't remember the last time I've been under a Tornado Warning here in Marysville. Lightning is intense here in Marysville. The worst of it is moving in now.

MAG5035
Is this over Mag for our area? I hope so. Streets are flooded here in town. Looks like one more area of some moderate rain about to move through, shouldn't be as heavy as it was with the bigger storms. I did drive around a little bit, there's def some significant run off and drainage issues. Surprised that the usual suspect streams I had a look at weren't out on the roads. Voyager
Man it completely missed the city, it's barely rained. Moved past Linglestown now. I just watched the radar loop and I can't believe how it missed the city. That was a strange development as it initially looked like it was heading right for HBG. canderson
Also, met question: Harrisburg never sounded sirens despite the TOR warning. The mayor told abc27 they didn't because there was no touchdown. Can I get some help making this a big deal? That's a TERIBBLE "policy."
Blizzard of 93
It looks like another line is forming in Western Cumberland and Franklin county that is riding along I-81. Anyone have any thoughts on how well his line will hold together as it approaches Harrisburg?

I was going to post that it looks like that cell is going to track and ride just northwest of I-81 and might miss me here in the Skook, but after what I saw it do out there, who knows???
