GEOS5ftw Posted March 5, 2015 Share Posted March 5, 2015 Going to plug my work for a second here. NASA's GPM satellite had a well-timed overpass of this storm at 3:35 pm. Here are some quick look images. The top 3 panels of the cross section (NW to SE along the red line on the map) are the radar in different modes and the bottom 2 are dual-frequency reflectivity ratio (should correspond to snowflake size and seems to agree with ground observations of smaller flakes further NW in in the storm).
