Stormpc
Oh man this last band is awesome. Just puking but it looks like this is the swan song. Sharp edge. Would like to see a little fuzziness in the radar to show the high RH, but no luck.

Jebman
24 degrees with pukage, rippage and rakage by snow. It's piling up. I am closing in on 6 inches. If this keeps up til 5pm I stand a chance of reaching 7 inches which would be the biggest snowstorm of the winter. That north wind is blowing the powdery snow all over the place! Its blowing right off the roof! Amazing snowstorm!

Random Chaos
This is why I can't get any good measurements! Snow sculpting - that finger is about 3-4" above the snow below it. The wind has eaten away the rest of the drift that was there a couple hours ago: And here is a null-wind area just in front of a structure, creating a massive drift before it: And finally, the lower branches on this small tree (about 7-8 feet tall) have about an inch of snow on them. The upper branches have none...thanks to the wind:
winterymix
The mesoscale analysis says pay attention to the 850mb/700mb frontogenesis. So here it is and we can all see that the good stuff is quickly sagging south.
yuki neko
Rates have really picked up in the last half hour in this area. me too other than the Bethesda/Friendship heights/Tenleytown folks...they are usually in a pretty good spot I just lost my 6 inch ruler to the snow... HighStakes
Back to moderate with the last push. Had some compaction. Will probably finish with 10.5-11. Great event . Not only the best of this year but I think I enjoyed it just as much if not better than any storm last year as well.
rmcwahoo
Richmond can't shake the sleet, we've gotten a few 5 minute periods of snow....then back to sleet. This was a great storm for 60 miles north and west of here
Interstate
7 inches at 21057 on the 4 PM check in. Looking at the radar that is pretty much it for me. I will take it in a heartbeat.
