24 degrees with pukage, rippage and rakage by snow. It's piling up. I am closing in on 6 inches. If this keeps up til 5pm I stand a chance of reaching 7 inches which would be the biggest snowstorm of the winter. That north wind is blowing the powdery snow all over the place! Its blowing right off the roof! Amazing snowstorm!

This is why I can't get any good measurements!

Snow sculpting - that finger is about 3-4" above the snow below it. The wind has eaten away the rest of the drift that was there a couple hours ago:

And here is a null-wind area just in front of a structure, creating a massive drift before it:

And finally, the lower branches on this small tree (about 7-8 feet tall) have about an inch of snow on them. The upper branches have none...thanks to the wind:

So. MD is getting destroyed right now.  Rates starting to drop in NE Calvert but had been under 2"/hr for a while.  4.2" - was 0.4" at 1327 (previous post).

Nice!  I hope that Wes cashed in too.

I did not take it as any disrespect but it provided a good opportunity to explain my methods. You can call 202-589-1212, we do it there now.

Thanks for the digits!
