olafminesaw
Why do you say this? Back edge appears to be making good progress, I'm thinking we hold on to light stuff til maybe 6. I could see it back-fill some as it gets closer to DC
StudentOfClimatology
Radar going nuts to the SW..the second impulse is approaching.

umdterps29
I'd say 1" now in Edgewater. We were cranking for about 30 minutes until that lull slid up from the south. Looking to really get cranking when the precip starts to move south a bit

87storms
Exactly, and it's been making good progress just as the models showed, heaviest stuff ending in DC by 3 or 4. True but there also seems to be a ripple moving through into west va right now. I think that could keep us going longer. Think we are fine through the afternoon. ravensrule
Haven't measured in awhile but it looks like we are pushing 8. Wow i am half of that. Very impressive.

hosj III
Are temps warmer than forecast? I was under the impression that we were going to be in the upper 20's by the time good rates rolled around. I'm just bouncing between 30.5 and 31.
heavensbee
Radar blossomed along the northern beltway. Big flakes again in College Park.

Kmlwx
2.2 on Driveway 3.4-3.6 on grass Which one is considered official? Neither. Driveway will endure a lot of melting and grass allows the ruler to sink in too much potentially. Snow board is best. However, I use a surface that isn't asphalt. a touch shy of 4 inches here but close enough to say 4. Probably some compaction but I'll go with that total here for now. Lighter rates for now. BaltimoreWxGuy
Not so sure about that. Isn't that stuff in west virginia headed our way as well? This was in response to timing...not rates..as I said, the moisture plume is moving NE but the backedge is coming from the WNW to NW
Fozz
Haven't measured in awhile but it looks like we are pushing 8. That is nuts, I think your elevation and colder temps have kept the compaction limited. Only ~4" here

Kmlwx
This was in response to timing...not rates..as I said, the moisture plume is moving NE but the backedge is coming from the WNW to NW Radar I'm looking at just keeps filling in back in WV (GR2Analyst on LWX radar). We should be good for a good while. Bands DO seem to be becoming more SW-NE oriented rather than WSW to ENE.
SomeguyfromTakomaPark
I could see it back-fill some as it gets closer to DC I certainly hope we can keep some good rates as the sun starts dropping, right now it's doing a number on the streets, largely just wet.
