For those waiting, the change from sleet to snow comes really fast.  Also, within minutes it's good, dendritic flakes and not fast-falling wet clumps, despite surface temp of 33-34.  So much for that NAM layer - the temps must be real nice upstairs.

I dont even know why we worried so much about that elevated NAM furnace at 700 millibars

B...but...the warm nose! How can we get rid of the warm nose?!

Hopefully we can end up with higher ratios than expected. That's a big wild card with this.
