Mr. Windcredible!
Sleet line Interesting...you can see the line lagging a bit on the shoreline. Don't see that much. Sleet is definitely starting to take over here...still probably 50/50...but pinging getting louder.

weatherwiz
sleet came fast here. Went across the street to get a bottle of wine and it was a snow/sleet mix and when I came out it was pounding sleet.

WinterWolf
I have a rather neat situation going on here, I have sleet, but mixed in is very fine/tiny/dusty looking snow, which is obscuring the visibility. When I look out, I think it's just snowing, but when I went out, I have good sized sleet pellets mixed in, but alot of that snow I just described above. I haven't seen that before. After watching the loop, it's clear the cold temps of LIS are actually helping slow the advancement of the mix line for a change. Pretty neat. But couldn't hold it off for ever...we're finally at 90% sleet.

I had a thought ice could be a bigger problem down there than advertised for that reason.

WinterWolf
Ya, I can say I have never seen that happen before Kevin...at least not here. Usually I have sleet and good sized snow flakes, that transition to sleet quickly, but not this type of dusty fluffy snow idea mixed in with the sleet. Pretty Neat. Damage In Tolland
There is quite a bit of snow mixed in with this stuff. You flip on the floodlight and it's about 50/50. I wonder if it could be heavily rimed flakes and sleet?whatever it is , it's accumulating fairly well. This is going to a beast to shovel and plow
