CoastalWx
37.4 currently here. Not too bad with the clouds You aren't losing 3-6..but time to come around to accept your fate of the pack. It's coming.
Damage In Tolland
You aren't losing 3-6..but time to come around to accept your fate of the pack. It's coming. Yup I've accepted it. The ice certainly helped today.. Needed that so badly into the pack..But yes I know ..by mid April it will be gone
CoastalWx
Yup I've accepted it. The ice certainly helped today.. Needed that so badly into the pack..But yes I know ..by mid April it will be gone That's not much ice. You really need a few good mixed events to add moisture content. A skim coating of sleet and ZR won't do a ton.
Cold Miser
was talking more about the roads. I dug channels in the driveway but will see how that works when I get home. lol Just cleared my driveway out. Skates, and/or ice grips on shoes required. RUNNAWAYICEBERG
Don't put any salt down ColdMiser, leave like that....Let it freeze tonight and get the hockey equipment out.
HullMA
Really? Every day driving home I'm reminded..lol. But yes, they did shrink/compact a bit. I was exaggerating a bit. Its pretty obvious from scituate-hull though. Some road side plow piles are half their original height.
Cold Miser
Don't put any salt down ColdMiser, leave like that....Let it freeze tonight and get the hockey equipment out. lol I don't salt it anyway. Sometimes I put salt on the sloping part (not visible in that photo), but usually just salt on the walking areas. Would be way too much salt, plus I hate the stuff. Well any roadway or open area to sun will shrink. I still think that area near Norwell has the most.

Good luck on reaching 100", you must be a half a foot shy by now?
SouthCoastMA
LOL the Cape is struggling for 35 on a SW wind. yeah I mentioned that earlier in this thread. This is definitely going to come back and bite us in the ass come spring, but it's kinda cool now to see it.
OceanStWx
LOL the Cape is struggling for 35 on a SW wind. It's all fun and games until that wind comes around from the east on you in a few weeks.
CoastalWx
It's all fun and games until that wind comes around from the east on you in a few weeks. Bring it. My LOL was more of "look at that"...testament to SSTs.
OceanStWx
Bring it. My LOL was more of "look at that"...testament to SSTs. With water temps in the low 30s, shouldn't be too long now until we're kicking up a sea breeze over 45 degree snow pack.

Good luck on reaching 100", you must be a half a foot shy by now? yup. 6.5" Maybe 3-4 tonight, and hope for something down the line to bring me over the top. I will probably end the season at 99 or something painful like that.

CapturedNature
Yup I've accepted it. The ice certainly helped today.. Needed that so badly into the pack..But yes I know ..by mid April it will be gone I was looking back on our other seasons where we had snow pack peaks near 30" and I think we have a decent shot of having measurable snow by 4/1. Some of the well protected places might have patches toward the end of April but it gets tough. We'll have to see how it plays out.
CoastalWx
42. Not too much damage. Seems like a lack of big puddles and rivers of water, likely owing to deep snow absorbing melt. Typical open areas lost a few but walkway is still icy.

HarveyLeonardFan
Borderline moderate rain. Temps haven't dropped as fast as I'd like but it "feels" a lot colder than it was a couple hours ago.
